She has primarily been used as a broodmare but has been ridden on and off over the years. Under saddle, Winnie has a solid foundation—walk, trot, canter, side pass, half pass, excellent natural collection, and even the Spanish walk. She has been brought back into work this Spring, and has picked everything back up with ease. She could use some more consistent riding and work to build her muscle back up to shine in the show ring.
Winnie is very sweet and gentle, though she is sensitive and can be nervous until she builds trust. She will thrive with a calm, confident, and patient rider or handler who can give her the consistency she needs. She has a sensitivity to her poll, making bridling a bit tricky at first—this improves greatly as she learns to trust. Even when she’s anxious, Winnie has never been dangerous or mean-spirited.
As a broodmare, Winnie is exceptional. She is an easy, reliable breeder, is an excellent mom, and has had stunning foals. She has been live covered with no issues.
She is up-to-date on vaccinations, deworming, and coggins. Winnie has great ground manners, is good for the farrier, fly spraying, tying, saddling, and loading and hauling in the trailer.
